How This Comparison Works
Same starting amount and dates
The full starting amount is invested separately in each portfolio. All portfolios use the first common available price date and the same effective end date. Actual calculation dates are displayed with your results.
Allocations and fixed holdings
Each portfolio divides the starting amount using its own weights. Fractional units are held without rebalancing or recurring contributions. Fees and taxes are excluded.
Prices, returns and risk
Stocks and ETFs use adjusted closes and carry forward on weekends and U.S. exchange holidays. Crypto requires daily closes. CAGR and the savings benchmark use elapsed calendar days. Drawdown is measured from each portfolio’s previous high.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can portfolios contain the same asset?
Yes. You can compare different weights of the same investments. An asset can appear once within each portfolio.
How does this differ from Advanced Compare?
Portfolio Compare splits one amount across several investments in each portfolio. Advanced Compare invests the full amount in each individual investment.
What does Save Analysis keep?
All portfolio names, assets, allocations, the starting investment, savings rate, dates, and latest or fixed end-date behavior are kept in My Library.
